Logistics / Exports Manager

Job Description

• Management and monitoring of logistics operations and exports of the company.

• Negotiations with the logistic companies regarding their rates, services and contracts.

• Plan and implement improvements in internal and external logistics processes

• Supervise and train logistics team to comply with the customs and legal requirements for certain shipments.

• Stay abreast with the updates in governmental policies and procedures regarding exports

• Recommended optimal transportation modes, routing, and equipment.

• Develop policies, procedures and strategies for logistics activities and ensure compliance  

• Monitor products export processes to ensure compliance with regularity requirement.

• Ensure freight forwarders' compliance with company policies & procedures for products transfer, transit and delivery.

• Effective planning and execution of products' distribution to local shops and International destinations according to dispatch order.

• Preparing of all export documents (invoice, packing list certificate of origin) for export consignment.

• Follow up with custom department at Bahrain, Dubai Qatar, Oman and Saudi Arabia for attestation of required export documents (invoice, packing list, custom declaration, certificate of origin and DGR requirements etc.)

• Preparing of all documents for registration of new products with with SGS/Accredited lab (for SASO programs)

• Preparing of all documents Request for Certificate of Conformity (RFC) for SASO/SGS Lab or other accredited lab to get certificate of conformity for Saudi Shipments.

• Follow up with relevant authorities for inspection of the shipments to export.

• Follow up with Sales department regarding local and international distribution order/Performa invoices.

• Follow up with customers or authorised personnel regarding receipt of dispatched shipments and update export records.

• Logistics and export planning with sales and business development team to participate in exhibitions.

• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios

• Analyse the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes or carriers

• Analyse all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.

• Direct or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.

• Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
